For some, food is an intimate form of art. More than just a visual aesthetic, because the eyes eat before the mouth. Food incorporates the additional sense of taste and smell. The process in creating a dish exerts a high level of expression and can evoke sensations and feelings for the receiver.
Macey & Sons in collaboration with the Conrad Hotel is pleased to present you ART x FOOD.
Nicholini’s chef Riccardo Catarsi explores art through food. Drawing inspiration from visual artist Francesco Lietti’s artworks and stories, Chef Catarsi creates a colourful four course menu to compliment four of Lietti’s paintings. Lietti, fascinated by the variety of colors, the rich smells, and the plethora of images, portrays urban visions this through simple and direct forms. He paints naïve visions that often have a humorous quality, describing the city in an almost caricatured magnificence.
Currently until the end of June, you can experience not only Chef Catarsi’s unique menu at Nicholini’s, but we have also transformed one of Hong Kong’s top Italian restaurants into a gallery exhibiting Lietti’s artworks for your pleasure while you fine dine. In addition, Nicholini’s at The Conrad, HK are offering a 20% discount on food Monday - Friday lunch and dinner and Saturday - Sunday dinner when you dine in and mention Macey & Sons with this email.
